Club delighted with response from supporters

With football fever gripping the nation as the 2010 World Cup gets underway, Wigan Athletic are delighted with the response from fans who are snapping up their season tickets for 2010-11.

The Club have again frozen prices at a time when many others in the top-flight have increased their cost, a move that has had a great response from fans, as well as the new 'family ticket' incentive for the South Stand making it even more affordable for the whole family to come and get behind Latics.

Manager Roberto Martinez is delighted the fans are already gearing up for the new season, Latics' sixth consecutive campaign in the Barclays Premier League;

"Our supporters were vital to us last season, never more so than for the Arsenal game where the players responded to the incredibly positive noise from the crowd, and managed to secure a memorable victory. I am delighted that the new price initiatives the Club has introduced have seen such a fantastic response from the people of the town, and hope that the trend continues."

Customers wishing to purchase season tickets for the first time should contact the DW Ticket Office. The process for renewals and new purchases this season has been rolled out so as supporters can renew online, by phone or in person initially. Postal versions of the season ticket packs will be sent out to supporters who have yet to renew toward the end of the World Cup in early July. The initial seat redemption deadline is Friday 25th of June.

Next season brings a new offer for families to watch every Latics game for an amazing £500*. The "family-club" brings you the family offer of the decade. And what's more, the new "Dads and Lads" Season ticket is an unbeatable £250! The Club has also announced a new Under 21s price of £190 (rather than last season's £250) which it is hoped will bridge the gap between the junior price and the adult price for our growing young adult following.

And what's more in a move to assist fans financially, Season Ticket Holders can now pay over 8 months rather than the previous 4 months for season tickets**.

With PRICES FROZEN FOR AN INCREDIBLE FOURTH YEAR running, adult prices start once again at just £250, with a range of packages that combine to make Latics the most competitive around. The three-tiered system continues for adults, starting at £250 for the South Stand and the wings of the West and the East Stands, rising to £275 and £295 for more central areas. Under 16s season tickets remain at £140 while Under 11s can buy a season ticket for £76 with FREE Junior Stripes membership thrown in with lots of benefits for our younger fans to enjoy. Other concessionary prices, for Over 65s and students equate to £190 for the Season Ticket.
