Reserves start new-look campaign away to Liverpool

Wigan Athletic's Reserve Team will start their 2010/11 campaign with an away visit to Liverpool on Wednesday September 1^st.

Graham Barrow's side had great success over the Reds last season, holding them to a 1-1 draw at Prenton Park whilst defeating them 3-2 at Robin Park Arena.

Sunderland will be Latics' first home opponents on September 7^th against whom Latics lost twice last season.

The new-look league with 16 teams throws-up a number of new opponents for Latics including away trips to West Ham United (September 28^th) and Newcastle United (January 11^th), whilst Chelsea (October 5^th), Arsenal (March 29^th) and last season's Southern champions Aston Villa (March 8^th) will all visit Robin Park.

The season climaxes on April 12^th when newly-promoted Blackpool provide the final opposition at home.
